It is currently the most popular hotel in Seoul. As a local, I’d like to provide a review of the Signiel Seoul Hotel for you.

★ Useful Services to Know at Signiel ★

Advance Check-in Reception (79th Floor)(Although it was okay on weekdays, when I went on a Monday, I had to wait for 40 minutes for check-in. I recommend going in advance to wait for check-in, as there may be even longer waits on weekends.)
Upgrade to a Han River View Room & Han River View Bathroom(Available for an additional cost of 60,500 KRW each. If there are no rooms available, request a room on the high floors facing the west where you can at least partially see the Han River.)
Complimentary Lounge Access for Previous Guests and Staying Guests(The lounge has an age restriction of 12 and under, so customers with children can exchange for an aquarium admission ticket.)
Free Use of the Swimming Pool [No Limit on Usage During Stay](Swimwear is required, and swimming caps can be rented.)
Free Use of the Fitness Center [No Limit on Usage During Stay](Bring your own sneakers, and you can rent workout clothes and socks.)
Request a Humidifier or Air Purifier in Advance (Directly Provided to Your Room)

★ The Parking Facility at Signiel Seoul Hotel ★

There is no separate parking facility for Signiel.

You can use the Lotte World Tower parking lot, but since it’s used by everyone visiting Lotte World Mall, parking spaces may not always be readily available.

We parked on the underground 4th floor and received directions to go towards H5, I believe.

When you come up to the 1st floor and head to the Signiel entrance, hotel staff will personally open the door to the elevator entrance. (They are incredibly courteous.)

The service is exceptionally good, to the point where it can be slightly overwhelming. However, it’s important to note that there is no tipping culture in Korea. Giving tips might lead to some misunderstandings or even make you feel like you’re being treated as if you made a mistake, so it’s best not to offer tips. (Caution)

For hotel check-in, you need to go to the 79th-floor lobby.

The elevator ride is incredibly fast, so you’ll arrive in no time. The building is so tall that it might make your ears pop.

The check-in time was at 15:00, but I arrived about 10 minutes early.

They started accepting luggage in advance, and even though it was a weekday, there were a lot of people waiting in advance. I had to take a number and wait for about 40 minutes before being assigned a room.

I was just holding my Crocs in my hand, but a hotel staff member brought me a Signiel shopping bag so I could put them in separately. (Oh! No matter how friendly they are, don’t tip them!)

I completed my check-in at 15:40.

I had made a phone reservation for a room upgrade with a Han River view, but they told me all the upgrade rooms were fully booked. So, I had requested a room where I could at least partially see the Han River on the west side in advance.

During check-in, I was told I could go up one more floor to a higher room, but it would require an additional hour of waiting. I decided to check-in to the room initially assigned to me instead!

I was assigned to the 89th floor!

They even helped me with my luggage, making it easy for me to come up. (There is no tipping culture. Don’t give tips!)

★89F Floor Grand Deluxe Room: Lotte World View, Partial River View ★

The Deluxe room was in excellent condition.

The bed was not only spacious but also very comfortable.

Seeing the expansive view from the high-rise window was truly enjoyable.

For those who would like the welcome tea, be sure to request it as they will bring it to you upon request. (There is no tipping for this service.)

There were two sinks and one bathroom, and all the amenities were DIPTYQUE!

It was my first time using DIPTYQUE, and I really loved the scent of the shampoo.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion were all provided.

Originally, Signiel used to provide all the amenities, but they have switched to larger-sized products to reduce single-use items, and they advise against taking them with you.

The capsule coffee and tea in the black box are provided for free.

You also get two bottles of Evian mineral water for free!

Separately, the beverages, wine, and alcoholic drinks in the refrigerator are all chargeable services.

The mini-bar with toothbrush and toothpaste is also a paid service.

Cables like Samsung USB Type-C and Apple chargers are prepared in the drawer!

I had requested a humidifier over the phone before my arrival, so after I went swimming and returned in the evening, they personally delivered it to my room.

★79F The Lounge ★

Operating hours: 07:00 – 22:00

Complimentary cocktails & wine served from 17:00 – 20:00

I went down to the lounge around 17:40, but it was so crowded that I had to wait, and I entered around 18:00.

For those planning to use the lounge, it’s more convenient to reserve a Han River view seat during check-in.

I was a bit rushed during check-in and didn’t make the request in advance, so I had to wait.

Light snacks and refreshments that are great for a quick bite.

They will pour wine and champagne for you upon request.

There are also carbonated drinks available!

The famous Signiel butter cookies were just okay in terms of taste.

The champagne was really delicious, even more so than the wine.

It’s quite expensive, with a bottle costing over 100,000 KRW….

I originally started eating in a different spot and then requested a change to a window seat when one became available. They changed it for me right away.

It was a window seat with an iMac!

I had a one-night stay at Signiel and enjoyed it without any specific plans. I wanted to share some tips and my room and lounge experience with you all!
